Seethu TJ - is an international yoga teacher from the revered T. Krishnamacharya lineage. True to her tradition, she offers authentic, curated yoga experiences, customized to the individual's need. An architect, a classical dancer, and a Reiki practitioner, Seethu infuses warmth, acceptance, and humor in her interactions with her fellow yogis. Seethu is also a mother to a seven-year-old. She encourages her daughter to ‘be herself' in all circumstances. Seethu believes that by doing so, the world is a brighter, beautiful place.
Tat Saraasa Resort and Spa, Udaipur - is a perfect location for a wellness retreat as it is hidden away amongst the undulating landscape of the region. Located close to a lake, this resort is contemporary and offers its clients a luxurious getaway. Their beautifully appointed rooms offer all modern conveniences. The resort also has a pool, a spa, gymnasium a multi-cuisine restaurant and a bar. The hotel is located about 40 minutes from the airport and 45 minutes from Lake Pichola. Program Details -
7th March 2019 – Connection (100 min of Yoga) -
- Arrive at Tat Saraasa where you are welcomed by your host. After the introduction session, proceed to the yoga space for the very first session of the retreat.
- 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm - Restorative session with chanting and meditation (60 min) - Experience an evening session to stretch, refresh, and relax. Allow this session to take away travel fatigue, settle in, and help us begin this journey into the self.
Post dinner - Sound Meditation and Shared stories - Coming together as a tribe, we shall exchange our stories, experiences, and insights of the times and occasions when we have truly embraced our inner goddess. Wrap up the day with a beautiful, calming night meditation with vibrating chants surrounded by candles, for a restful night’s sleep.
8th March : Intuition (225 min of yoga, 300 min of workshop)
6:00 am to 7:30 am – Find stability and ease(90 min) - Experience a session to build inner and outer stability and strength for a woman's body and mind. Find ease within, as we connect with powerful yogic techniques of breath and meditation. Asanas, pranayama, and meditation are included.
10.30 am to 12.30 pm – Find your inner glow, an interactive workshop- 120 min (Optional) - Come together as a compassionate community of Goddesses. Learn about satvik foods to support, strengthen, and heal us as women, as we go through different stages of life. We will learn about food habits, that help us glow. (Optionally Participants could also use this time for a Spa treatment, to be paid direct)
2:45 pm to 6:00 pm - Meditative mandalas(180 min) - Enjoy a Tibetan mandala art based meditation session to tap into our innate creative intelligence as a woman, connect with our feminine energies, and release subliminal stress. This will be an intuition based art session. Through guided mandala meditation techniques, learn to set an intention to strengthen our heart and contemplate on it. No prior experience in art is required for this session.
6:15 to 7:45 pm - Emotional Resilience (90 min) - Here, we will access our emotional body through customized asanas, breath work, and meditation. Experience a session built towards learning to hold space for ourselves. Discover how we can stay ‘absolutely ourself’ in an ever-changing daily environment. Asanas, pranayama and meditation are included.
Post dinner - Night meditation and journaling (45 min) - Understand how journaling can be a true friend to a woman to stay motivated, and a support as we go through trying times. End the day with a beautiful night meditation for a restful sleep.
9th March : Compassion (210 min of yoga)
6:00 to 7:30 am - Find your inner balance(90 min) - This session is designed to integrate our latent energies. We will aim to connect to that place of balance within, from where we can stay serene and goddess-like, as we juggle through the different roles and responsibilities we have as women. Asanas, pranayama, and meditation are included.
10:00 am to 1:30 pm - Village walk - Explore a local village of empowered womenfolk. Immerse with this community of women as you interact, learn art, visit their homes, and exchange life experiences. Let this experience help us connect to a place of compassion and gratitude within.
5:45 pm to 7:45 pm - Find your inner Goddess (120 min) - Immerse yourself in a Yogic experience to tap into your inner power as a woman. Experience yogic techniques to tune into your latent strength, residing deep within ‘the shakti'. Enjoy powerful asanas, breath work, and meditation to truly embrace the protective, intuitive and fierce sides of the goddess that we all are as women. Embrace the Shaki within, and be the goddess.
Post farewell dinner : sharing experiences and goodbyes - Get together and share the journey that we have ignited in the retreat, and how we may continue to be on this path of truly embracing our inner goddess.
10th March: Onward(90 min)
7:00 am to 8:00 am - Rise and Shine (90 min) - Take the motivation pill for the day, by connecting to the sun and engaging in sun salutations. Move, breathe and meditate with an intention to stay on this journey of being the goddess that we are. Asanas, pranayama, meditation, and mantras will be included. Followed by a short feedback session
