The Basilica of Bom Jesus is a church that is christened by UNESCO. This church holds a great historical significance and is a work of art. St. Francis Xavier’s statue and chapel, the carvings inside the church, paintings and there’s a lot more to see. The stunning marble flooring and the simple yet artistic design is nothing but beautiful. The basilica has 2 chapels, a choir loft, three altars and a sacristy.

What the Basilica Holds

The basilica has an art gallery that has various paintings, featuring a total of 36 paintings from various timelines in history, the most famous ones being “Genesis” and “The Last Judgement”. The Amazing architecture from Roman, Doric, Composite, and Ionic and Corinthian origins makes this church a culmination of different forms of art.
