Chitai Temple

The Chitai temple is dedicated to Golu Devta, the most prominent deity of Kumaon. The temple is surrounded by dense pine forest. Thousands of devotees throng at this temple all through the year. People worship the deity to fulfill their desires and as a symbol hang bells in the temple. One can see thousands of bells hanging & ringing in the hill air, around the temple.
