Gandhi Smriti Travel Guide
Formerly known as Birla House or Birla Bhavan, is a museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, where he spent the last 144 days of his life and was assassinated on January 30, 1948. The museum in the building houses a number of articles associated with Gandhi's life and death, viewing the preserved room where he lived and the place on the grounds where he was shot while holding his nightly public walk. A martyr's column marks the place where he fell to his assassin's bullets. • Entry: Free • Photography Charges: Free
