Govind Dev Ji Temple Travel Guide

It is one of the most sacred and famous temple that houses the idol Lord Krishna. It is believed that the image in this temple looks exactly how Lord Krishna looked during his incarnation on earth. The beautiful idol was brought to Jaipur by Raja Sawai Jai Singh from Vrindavan. Every day, various 'Aartis' and 'Prasad' or 'Bhogs' are offered at the temple, at seven different times. The temple is thronged by number of devotees during Janmashtami which is celebrated here with great pomp and show. Tips: Morning Aarti starts at 5 a.m.
