Lakha Mandal Travel Guide

Lakha Mandal – the pride of Uttarakhand, is an ancient temple, enshrining Lord Shiva is an apposite place for pilgrimage. For the worshippers of Shakti Cult, this temple is a dream destination. Generally, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati are the embodiments of Shakti and they are supposed to relieve men from pains and pangs of daily existence. A graphite lingam is the main attraction of this temple shrine, it shines when wet and reflects its surrounding. Located beside the main shrine are two statues named Danav and Manav. They are believed to be the doormen. It also houses few caves which are known as Dhundi Odaari in local Jaunsari language.
