Lakshman Temple Travel Guide

This ancient temple is situated 5 km north from the city and associates various mythological stories with it. It is believed that Lakshman performed tapa at the site of this temple. It is also believed that lord Ram along with his brother Lakshman made a twing bridge near the temple on their way to Himalayas. Rishi kund is the main attraction where Lord Ram and Lakshman took bath in order to get rid of their sins of killing Ravana. The temple is adorned with beautiful painted walls that depict the unearthly and sacred life.
