Longkhum village is at a height of around 1,846 m and is surrounded by rhododendrons shrubs. Following the traditions and customs of Ao Naga, the village practices Limapur, an orthodox religion. There are numerous shrines dedicated to God Longlanpa Tsungrem in the village.

It is said that a single visit to Longkhum isn't enough. Your soul stays behind the first time and you have to return again to get it back. Such is the beauty of this place which houses the magnificent Rhododendrons atop the hillocks.

This pretty place is also known for its equisite handlooms and handicrafts.
