Bhopal is City of Lakes and is a fusion of fusion of picturesque beauty and culture. It has two most beautiful lakes Upper Lake and Lower Lake or Chhota Talab. The lake was built in 1794. The two lakes are connected with an over bridge called Lower Lake Bridge or Pul Pukhta. They are constructed under the supervision of Chote Khan, minister of Nawab Hayat Muhammad Khan Bahadur. The Lower Lake has no source of fresh water hence it receives seepage from Upper Lake. Along with Upper Lake, it makes Bhoj Wetland.
