Mughal Garden Travel Guide
The iconic Mughal Garden has often been portrayed as the soul of the Presidential Palace. The Mughal Gardens opens to the public only during the annual festival, Udyanotsav, held in the months of February-March. The Mughal Gardens draw its inspiration from the Mughal Gardens of Jammu and Kashmir, the gardens around the Taj Mahal and even miniature paintings of India and Persia. Till date, Rose remains a key feature of the Mughal Gardens. The garden was originally designed by the Mughals in the Islamic style of architecture in Rashtrapati Bhavan but later during the formation of New Delhi, Sir Edwin Lutyens added a British elegance to it.
