Nandikund Travel Guide

Nandikund is a lake dedicated to Lord Shiva and is believed that Nandi Bull of the lord used to drink water from this lake. It is situated in green meadows and is surrounded with peaks covered with snow from three sides. This kund has mythological relevance as it is believed that a corroded sword seen near the lake belongs to Pandavas. Nandikund is also popular as during summers, the water is found extremely cold. Besides, Madhyamaheshwar Ganga also originates from the kund and reflection of Chaukhamba peak in the lake can also be seen.
