National Museum Travel Guide
The National Museum of Delhi is one of the largest museums in India that displays artifacts ranging from prehistoric to modern pieces of art. Presently, the museum is home to over 200,000 pieces of art, Indian and international spanning 5000 years. The National Museum is also home to the National Museum Institute of History of Arts and the Conservation and Museology (now a recognized University). The Buddhist art section is the most popular section that features some beautiful and sacred relics of Lord Buddha, found in the Basti District. The museum has a rich collection which covers ancient jewelry, manuscripts, arms, armor, and paintings among others.
