Qutub Minar Travel Guide

Qutab Minar - the tallest brick minaret and UNESCO world heritage site is the highest tower in India, complete with five stories and projecting balconies. While the first three are made up of red sandstone, the last two are made up of marble and sandstone. At the foot of the tower is the Quwwat- Mosque, the first mosque to be built in India. There's a 7-m high pillar that stands in the courtyard of the mosque. It is said that while standing with your back to it if you can encircle it with your hands your wish will be fulfilled.
