Sannihit Sarowar Travel Guide
Believed to be the permanent abode of Lord Vishnu, Sannihit Sarovar is believed to be the meeting point of seven tributaries of Saraswati River. Bathing in the waters of the tank on the day of Amavasya (no moon day) or on the day of an eclipse bestows blessings equivalent to performing the 100 ashvamedh yajna.Bathing in this sarovar is believed to offer peace to wandering and unhappy souls. At the time of solar eclipse, pilgrims gather at this holy spot. Interestingly visitors to this place can know about their ancestors from the Purohits or locally known as Pandas, who for ages have been the record keepers of the pilgrims coming from various parts of the country.
