Shri Laxmi Narayan Mandir Travel Guide

Built over an area of over 15 acres, is the age old Modi Mandir also known as Laxmi Narayan Temple that was built by Gujaral Modi. The temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu is situated in the heart of the city just opposite to Modi Bhawan – the residence of Modis. Local people and tourists visits temple to offer their prayers to Lord Vishnu – the God of death, destruction, and disease. The charming temple also acts as a host to the famous Ramlila (dramatic folk re-enactment of the life of Rama), held in North India in the month of October during the Navratri.
