The place is well known for the palace that was constructed by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh known as ‘Chail View Palace’. Earlier the city was called “kohistan district” but after independence it was called “Pepsu”. The place has witnessed green revolution and therefore vegetable production has grown here in leaps and bounds. One also finds a series of places to visit in Kandaghat that are contributing a lot in promoting its tourism. It’s beautiful and serene location draws a lot of tourists to spend their holidays here.
