The first well-planned city of India, Jaipur is the centre of Rajasthan. It is also the largest city of Rajasthan. The Jaipur town is known as Pink City. Since the colour Pink denotes the intensity of generosity, in the year 1876, Maharaja Ram Singh and also to comfy Prince of Wales and Queen Victoria who were visiting India at that time, painted the whole city in pink. The city Jaipur is situated on the eastern border of Thar Desert and also sharing the international boundary with Pakistan on the western side. In east, this town is circumscribed by Dausa, Alwar and also Sawai Madhopur; on the west by Nagaur and Ajmer; in the north by Sikar and Mahendragarh. On three sides it is also surrounded by Aravali hills.
